Elevating global conversations on injury prevention and safety

Elevating global conversations on injury prevention and safety

We supported The George Institute for Global Health with a social media strategy and real-time coverage at Safety 2024, a global conference on injury prevention.

About

Safety 2024 was a global conference that focused worldwide attention on safety and injury prevention. It gathered international experts in the field with a united goal of “Building a safer future for all: Equitable and sustainable strategies for injury and violence prevention”.

The Goal

For the event, TGI wanted to achieve mass coverage and turn the twitter/x space into a live feed of engaging information.

Our Approach

Prior to the event, we crafted a comprehensive content strategy tailored to the social media platforms with a primary focus on X. This strategy encompassed the creation of post templates, draft posts, a detailed coverage schedule, and graphic design elements to ensure visual consistency. During the event, we implemented a diverse array of post types, including video testimonials from delegates sharing their experiences and expectations, static highlights summarising key sessions, announcement posts, and session recaps, all designed to maximise engagement and outreach. Beyond digital media, we helped in the creation of an event newsletter that was distributed to conference attendees in physical and digital forms.

The Impact

The social media strategies proved fruitful and we were able to achieve our aim of information dispersal and engagement on social media pages with maximum posts having 500+ views.
