What we did
We held a workshop for the ICC members focussed on enhancing their understanding of Sexual Harassment and Sexual Harassment at the Workplace (SHW). The sessions covered detailed revision of the organisational policy, process of conciliation and mitigation, Inquiry process of the ICC, reporting and documentation requirements. Additionally, we also helped potential members understand the nuances of the statutory guidelines for the Sexual Harassment of Women at the Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.

The IC capacity-building session covered a range of important topics, including the comprehensive A-Z guide of the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) for Internal Committees (IC) through the SHLC framework. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of harassment and sexual harassment, including how to identify such behaviors. The session provided training on conducting inquiries using a 12-step process, maintaining IC documents, and the protocols to follow if an IC member steps down. Additional topics included the principles of conciliation, confidentiality, and addressing false complaints, as well as the scope of third-party sexual harassment and the IC's responsibilities in these cases. Lastly, the training addresses sexual harassment through social media and clarify the IC's role in such incidents.
