Poornima has over five years of experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, and Research in the Social Development sector, focusing on gender research, gender-based discrimination, social wellbeing, and education. She is skilled in both qualitative and quantitative methods, conducting focus group discussions, in-depth interviews, and managing studies with adolescents and young women

Her analytical abilities enable her to turn research findings into actionable insights through compelling communications for social change. Poornima has held various roles in M&E, social research, and business development, demonstrating her versatility and commitment to positive social outcomes.

She holds a Master's degree in East Asian Studies and a certification in Business Analytics. As an IUIF fellow, she collaborated with Ideosync Media Combine & UNESCO, and served as a teaching fellow for the BookPecker Fellowship, focusing on topics like Menstrual Health and Computer Literacy. Her previous work includes roles at Breakthrough India and the Relational Wellbeing Collaboration (RWBC), along with consultancy services for various non-profits.
